HP Brings Back The Developer Device Purchase Program, Is Selling The TouchPad
Sure, HP may have already sent out the final notice declaring the HP TouchPad to be officially out-of-stock but that apparently does not mean they are actually completely out of inventory. Yup, that may be slightly confusing.

But remember back to October 28th when HP sent out the email stating that their online inventory had been depleted. Seems to us that would have meant that HP had no inventory remaining. Anyway, games of words aside, HP apparently still has some devices set aside for registered webOS developers. According to the details coming from HP;
“HP is pleased to announce the return of the Developer Device Purchase Program for the HP TouchPad for a limited time. Registered developers in the US, Canada, and Europe will be able to purchase up to two TouchPads at a discount while supplies last.”
This of course comes with a few catches. To begin with, HP will only selling the 32GB model, which is priced at $149. In addition, and as one would suspect in a case like this — all sales are final. Otherwise, those who are already registered as a webOS developer will be able to place a request for a coupon before November 18th and then those coupons will be valid until November 27th “or while supplies last.” In other words, just because you get a coupon, it sounds like that does not necessarily mean you will get a TouchPad.
That being said, we suspect that this may be the last time we hear any mention of the TouchPad coming from HP.
And lastly, for those who are still holding out hope of getting a TouchPad and thinking this may be an opportunity — probably not. Well, unless you are actually a developer. HP made it clear that “you must include your webOS developer user ID in your request email in order to receive the coupon.”
