LG Optimus LTE Smartphone Release Confirmed By Bell, Will Be An Exclusive Offering
A short while back we learned that Bell Mobility was planning to release the LG Optimus LTE. And well, it looks like that release has since been officially confirmed by the carrier. If you remember back, that news came by way of a hands-on video from the folks at the Source retail outlet.

Anyway, coming back to the present day and we now have the official confirmation from Bell, along with a few other details. To begin with, the previous video from the Source dubbed the handset as the LG Optimus Eye and well, it looks like it may just retain the proper name — LG Optimus LTE.
Aside from that, the details coming from Bell are rather sparse at this point. So far nothing specific in terms of a release date and nothing at all in terms of a price point. What we can tell you is that Bell expects to have the Optimus LTE available in late-November and that they are touting it as the “first true HD smartphone.”
Furthermore, and this one may come with some disappointment for those hoping to pick up the LG Optimus LTE with another carrier, it is currently being listed as an “exclusive to Bell.” And touching back on that first true HD smartphone comment, that comes in due to the display, which will be 4.5 inches and sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720.
Otherwise, some of the other features that one can expect to find on the Optimus LTE include a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, 1830 mAh battery, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with auto-focus, LED flash, flash detection and the ability to record 1080p HD quality video. And lastly, the Optimus LTE will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
