Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI PSN Release Dates Announced
It isn’t easy to be a North America PSN account holder. For months now, you’ve been teased to no end while other regions got awesome RPG after awesome RPG, leaving you with only the hope that one day these publishers would shift their gaze to NTSC regions and give you the same kind of treatment.

Well, that day has finally arrived! Today, Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog its “Winter of RPGs,” campaign, which will see the likes of Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI added to PSN in North America in the coming weeks.
First up is Chrono Cross, which is releasing next Tuesday, November 8th. Chrono Cross has always been one of the most requested games for PSN, so I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of PSN users happy to see that it’s being added. I’m not sure that it’s better than its predecessor, Chrono Trigger, but Chrono Cross can still easily be considered one of the best RPGs ever.
Not feeling Chrono Cross? No problem! That is, it isn’t a problem as long as you like Final Fantasy. If you don’t, then there’s really nothing here for you, because Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IV are the two other games announced for Sony’s Winter of RPGs promotion. Final Fantasy V & IV may not be able to reach the hype levels of Final Fantasy VII, but make no mistake, these are two of the best games in the series. Any fan of the Final Fantasy series owe it to themselves to check out these titles. Final Fantasy V is out on November 22nd and Final Fantasy VI will release on December 6th.
What do you think of Sony’s Winter of RPGs campaign? Will you be picking any or all of these titles when they go live on PSN? Head down to the comments section to share your thoughts!
