Nokia Maps To Be Available To Non-Nokia Windows Phone Devices
Those who use Google Maps regularly may be oblivious to the existence of Nokia Maps — it’s a very useful navigation tool which, unlike Google Maps, supports offline navigation. So if you’re going on a long hike or drive, and you know you’ll little to no access to data connection, you can save a route you created on Nokia Maps for reference later.

While non-Nokia devices such as Android and iOS systems can access Nokia Map’s HTML5 version on a browser, it’s been revealed recently that the app version on the Windows Phone Marketplace is compatible with Windows Phone devices from other OEMs such as Samsung, HTC, and LG among others.
However, installed on other devices, the app won’t have voice-guided offline navigation, which is a built-in feature on the Nokia Drive app that’s exclusive to Lumia 710 and 800. Offline voice navigation or not, those who want something other than Google Maps could find Nokia Maps a viable alternative.
