Microsoft's New Kinect Bundle Features The Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja Kinect
In just a couple of days, Kinect for Xbox 360 will turn a full year old. The Kinect had a great launch, but these days, you don’t hear people talking about it all that much. To be fair, you don’t hear people talking about any motion peripheral that much these days, be it Kinect, Move, or the Wii Remote, but that’s a rant for another time.

In any case, the holiday season is fast approaching, and Microsoft hopes to have another good shopping season for the Xbox 360 and Kinect. One of the ways they’re attempting to do this is by offering bundles for all tastes out there. They’ve already announced a couple of holiday Xbox 360 bundles, so now it’s Kinect’s turn: today, Xbox Live’s Major Nelson revealed a new Kinect bundle that they’re currently shipping to retailers.
The bundle includes the quintessential Kinect pack-in, Kinect Adventures, along with redeemable download codes for both The Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja Kinect. Both of those rank among Kinect’s higher-rated games, and with the bundle costing the same as a standalone Kinect ($150), it’s really quite the steal.
It’s a shame, however, that The Gunstringer and Fruit Ninja Kinect don’t come on discs. I’m willing to be there’s a lot of families out there with a 4GB Xbox 360, which means that they’ll need to shell out for one of Microsoft’s terribly overpriced Xbox 360 hard drives. All in all, it isn’t that big of deal, considering you’re getting three free games for the price of a standalone Kinect, but I’m sure there will be more than a few people disappointed that they can’t play The Gunstringer or Fruit Ninja on Chrismas day because they don’t have the hard drive required to store them.
What do you think of this new bundle? Will you picking up one, or are your Kinect needs already being fulfilled? Head down to the comments section below to share your thoughts!
