Nokia Lumia 800 Will Be Available In The UK Beginning On November 16th

It looks like those who have been waiting to get their hands on a Nokia made Windows Phone device will soon be able to part with some money and make a purchase. Well, those who live in the UK will be able to do so. The handset is the recently announced Lumia 800, which will be available beginning on November 16th.

That being said, while we have the official confirmation in terms of the release date direct from Nokia, we are still waiting to see more information as far as the price goes. Sure, Nokia originally stated that it would come to Europe for €420, however we suspect that the handset will be a bit more attractively priced once it reaches the individual carriers.

Of course, in that respect, we are still waiting to see more from the carriers. But with a November 16th release, that information should be arriving sooner rather than later. One carrier however has offered up some details in terms of SIM-free pricing, that carrier is Three who has already stated that it will be £399.

Otherwise, for those who may need a bit of a recap on the Lumia 800, this will be a Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device with features to include a 3.7 inch Super AMOLED display. Other features include a 1.4GHz processor, and an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics.

With all that, we are anxiously looking forward to this release if for no other reason than to see if a Nokia Windows Phone handset can live up to the pre-release hype. After all, there has been plenty of buzz in the lead up, but with comments calling this the “first real Windows Phone” and stating that it will have “outstanding antenna performance” it sure has a lot to live up to.
