Motorola Droid Razr To Get Backup Assistant+ Support on Verizon [Get Free 500MB Storage for Your Droid Razr Through Verizon]

Preorders for the wafer thin Motorola Droid Razr on Verizon has begun, and with it comes free 500 MB storage through Backup Assistant+ that you can upgrade as you see fit. Backup Assistant+ backs up your contacts list as well as your media files (both pictures and videos) on the cloud.

Backup Assistant used to be a service that only backed up your contacts list, but that function’s pretty much accounted for on Android devices, as contacts are saved with your Google accounts. So every device you sync with a particular Google account gets all your contacts, too. No hassle, right? But Droid Razr is the first to offer the Backup Assistant Plus service that also saves your media files on the cloud, and you get 500MB free storage to boot — that’s pretty sweet.

I don’t think this will replace Dropbox for most people, but who wouldn’t take free storage when given? If you enjoy the service and think 500MB is too small, you get 25GB for $2.99, 75GB for $5.99, and 125GB for $9.99. The Motorola Droid Razr costs $299.99 from Verizon with a two year contract.
