Assassin's Creed Coming to iPad This Christmas, But Only in Board Game Version
When you think about any of the games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise you imagine plenty of fast-paced action in various scenarios spread around the world, as it was known, a few centuries ago. And you’d certainly enjoy experiencing some of that action on a tablet, say Apple’s iPad.

Well, I have good news and bad news for you regarding an upcoming Assassin’s Creed title for the iPad. The good news is that Ubisoft will launch an iPad-only 10-hour Assassin’s Creed Recollection (not Revelations) game version this holiday season. The bad news is that there’s no real action, and no fast-paced scenarios as this game is just a board game specifically designed for the iPad.
Apparently Recollection is a “real-time board game from the Ubisoft Montreal studio that will allow players to live an entirely new experience in the world of Assassin’s Creed.” Interesting? Not so much, and I’m sure the fans of the series will agree. As for those of you that have never played the “regular” game, I hardly think this one will really get you hooked to the series. Sure you will be competing in “political battles in a real-time board games with key characters and locations from the games,” but you won’t be doing any assassinating of your own.
Assassin’s Creed’s whole magic can’t be captured by a simple board game can it? But I’m certainly waiting for you guys to contradict me in case you plan to purchase the Recollection game for iPad this holiday season. Speaking of pricing and release dates, we don’t have such details for you just yet, but it looks like the game will be launched at some point in November and since it’s an iOS title we don’t expect it to be too expensive.
