Samsung Galaxy Nexus Gets Official Release Date For The UK [November 17th Is The Official Date For The Galaxy Nexus' Release In The UK, Official Date Actually After Some Others]
An Amazon product page over in the United Kingdom picked up the news, and the folks out at Samsung threw in actual confirmation on it, but there is now an official release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone over in the UK. That date is November 17th, and oddly enough, that actually seems to be after some other stores’ announced date.

You’ll remember just two days ago when our own Chris Smith brought word of a release date on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, saying that the folks at Phones4U were looking to drop this one November 16th. And indeed, checking out Phones4U says that the deliver date is indeed 16/11, or 11/16 for those who put the month first. Meanwhile, over on Amazon, the word is that this is to be shipped a day later. What’s behind the discrepancy? No one’s saying, but it is an interesting one, no mistake there.

But still, one day either way isn’t much of a big deal, especially when you consider the prices–it’s 549.99 pounds sterling on Amazon, but that’s without a contract, while Phones4U is offering it up on a 24 month contract for 59.99 pounds sterling a month with a 31 pound line rental fee (not sure if that’s monthly or not).
By way of recap, it’s still set to offer up a 4.65 inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen with five megapixel camera, a gig of RAM, Android 4.0 (or the fabled Ice Cream Sandwich), a dual core 1.2 GHz processor and a whole lot of options on top of that. And as yet there’s still no word on release dates for everywhere else where the Galaxy Nexus is sought after (and from the sounds of things that’s a whole lot of places indeed).
So what do you guys think here? Anyone planning to pick up a Galaxy Nexus when they finally hit your area? Anybody out in the UK looking to get hold of one of these? We want to hear from you no matter what your Galaxy Nexus plans happen to be, so head on down to the comments section and fill us in!
