Motorola Droid 4 Image & Specs Surface; Show A 4″ Display, Android 2.3.5 & 4G LTE [Next Generation Motorola Droid Images Hit The Web, Arrive With Some (But Not All Of) The Specs]
And it looks like Motorola will soon be continuing the DROID line. Images along with some specs for the yet-to-be-announced DROID4 have surfaced. Of course, saying soon may a bit of a stretch as we still have plenty to learn. But that being said, the handset will retain the familiar landscape hardware QWERTY and larger display.

With that, considering a big feature of the DROID handset is the keyboard, lets kick things off with that. As you can see from the image, the DROID4 is sporting a 5 row “illuminated” QWERTY with dedicated top row of numbers. Otherwise, we obviously cannot comment all that much without actually having any hands-on time, but the keys do appear to be nicely spaced for ease of use. If nothing else, it certainly looks to have come a long way from the original DROID.
Some of the other specs include a 4 inch display, which is believed to be a Super AMOLED Advanced. The DROID4 will come with support for the Verizon 4G LTE network and sporting other goodies such as a front facing camera, HDMI and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. Some of the other features mentioned include MotoACTV synching, a non-removable battery and a rear facing camera that has 1080p HD video recording and is expected to be 8 megapixels.
Otherwise, some of the other tidbits picked up from the images include Mobile Hotspot support, the Android Market and some Verizon branded apps such as My Verizon. Oh and, there is also the bloatware apps that many will complain about such as Let’s Golf 2 and Madden NFL 12.
Bottom line, while we still need to learn more, this does give us more than enough to peak our interest. Of course, the one thing we are wondering about is Android 2.3.5. After all, Ice Cream Sandwich is official and many are going to be looking for that to be pre-loaded before long.
