T-Mobile Makes It Official: LG DoublePlay Smartphone Now Available [LG DoublePlay Smartphone Now Available With T-Mobile, Comes Priced At $99.99 After Mail-In Rebate]
We had been seeing quite a bit of chatter over the past few days dealing with the LG DoublePlay smartphone. And well, it looks like that chatter has lead to where we expected — the handset coming available. Yup, T-Mobile and LG have since shared the good news and the DoublePlay is now listed on the T-Mobile website complete with a price and add to cart button.

That being said, lets get the new details out of the way right up front — the LG DoublePlay is priced at $99.99, which comes along with a two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. But on the positive side, those who make the purchase online can also expect to have the device shipped for free.
With that, we have seen the details on this before, however a recap on the specs is almost always in order. That being the case, the LG DoublePlay is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device with a unique dual-display setup. The exterior (main) display measures in at 3.5 inches and the interior (secondary) display measures in at 2 inches.
The interior display sits in with the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. More specifically, the 2 inch interior display sits in between the split keyboard with the QWERT being on the left hand side and the YUIOP sitting on the right hand side. Other specs for the DoublePlay include 4G network support, a 1GHz processor, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, 1500 mAh battery and a 5 megapixel rear facing camera with flash. The LG DoublePlay also comes with support for T-Mobile TV. And lastly, the DoublePlay measures in at 4.8 x 6.25 x 5.15 inches and has a weight of 6.8 ounces.
All said and done, the DoublePlay certainly seems like an interesting device given the dual-display setup, but that taken into consideration — we are going to reserve any thoughts until we see some hands-on reports from actual users.
