Samsung Exhibit II 4G Gets An Official Announcement
While many may have already forgotten about the original Samsung Exhibit, it looks like T-Mobile has come forward with pricing and release details for the follow up device. That device is the Samsung Exhibit II 4G, which is going to be available both as a pre-paid and a post-post handset.

In terms of the availability, the Exhibit II 4G will come available first with Walmart as a pre-paid offering. The handset will be priced at $199.99 with Walmart and require no long term commitments. In terms of the on-contract pricing and availability, that will begin on November 2nd when the handset will come available with T-Mobile (in addition to Walmart). The on-contract price for the Exhibit II 4G will be $29.99, and that comes with a two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
And for those who like to keep track of the little facts, the release of the Exhibit II 4G marks the “first no annual contract 4G smartphone to be sold at most Walmart stores.” But that aside, the Exhibit II 4G will be a decently spec’d device. Features will begin with a 3.7 inch WVGA TFT touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Other goodies include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, front facing camera for video chatting and a 3 megapixel rear facing camera with flash and video recording. Moving past the hardware and into the software and we learn that the Exhibit II 4G will come pre-loaded with the Google services as well as the Android Market. In addition, those who make the purchase can also expect to find the Samsung Media Hub and T-Mobile TV along with support for Microsoft Exchange.
Bottom line, this may not be the most sought after Android device, however with a contract free price of $199 (or a contract price of $29) it certainly sounds like there may be some willing to take the plunge.
