Amazon has their Android Appstore in which they run a daily promotion giving one paid app away for free. The app changes each and every day and ranges from games to productivity and all the other categories. Anyway, while we do not highlight the free app on a daily basis, the deal today was great enough that it seems worthy of a mention.

That being said, those sporting an Android device can grab OfficeSuite Pro 5 from the Amazon Appstore. And nicely done, the price of the app has been dropped from $14.99 all the way down to $0.00. And remember, that price will only be in effect today October 26th.

The version of OfficeSuite Pro 5 that is available with the Amazon Appstore is 5.1.519 and it comes as a 7.5MB file and is compatible with devices running Android 1.5 or later. With that, here is a break down of the features that one can expect to see with OfficeSuite Pro 5;

Full-Featured Office
This office productivity suite has everything you need from mobile office software. With OfficeSuite Pro, access tools for word processing, developing spreadsheets, delivering presentations, and browsing PowerPoint and PDF files. Create, view, and edit Microsoft Word and Excel files.
Google Docs Integration
The software features the most commonly used desktop document formats and includes a File Browse. The integration with Google Docs allows you to access your remotely stored documents.
Compatibility
The program supports Microsoft Office 97 to 2010 text documents – DOC and DOCX (open , edit, and save), Microsoft Office 97 to 2010 spreadsheets – XLS and XLSX (open , edit, and save), opening PPT, PPTX, PPS, and PPSX presentations, PDF files viewing, and integration with Google Docs.

Bottom line here, the OfficeSuite Pro 5 app looks decent enough, but that said, if your main reason for use is with Google Docs we may suggest looking at the official Docs app from Google. But hey, this one is free for today so it may be worthy of a download just to check it out, after all, there is nothing to stop you from deleting it later if it is not what you had hoped for.
