HTC Rezound (Vigor) Launch Event Scheduled for November 3?

HTC Hints at New Smartphone Media Event for Beats-ready Device, Doesn’t Mention What the Device Is

Of the three flagship Android devices that we were expecting to be announced this fall one still remains a mystery, the HTC Rezound, aka the Vigor. Maybe not a huge mystery since the phone has appeared in various leaks long before its announcement, but HTC is yet to make it official.

That’s why the company invited members of the press to attend a new press event. As always “HTC invites you to experience our latest innovation,” and just like the last time, when the Rhyme was launched, the event will take place in New York City. As you can clearly see, the phone about to be unveiled is going to be a device that comes with Beats sound, a unique feature for certain Android devices made by HTC starting this year.

The only obvious candidate for this event is the Rezound. Everything else we expected HTC to launch, the Rhyme, the Sensation XE and Sensation XL, the Radar and the Titan, the Amaze 4G have been made official so far so it’s only the Vigor that’s left.

The phone is then expected to be launched on November 10 by Verizon, although that’s yet to be confirmed. The largest carrier in America will have four impressive handsets to offer you this holiday season: the already launched iPhone 4S, the already announced Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Motorola Droid RAZR and the upcoming HTC Rezound.

The latter is expected to be a flagship 4G LTE Gingerbread device that will sport a 4.3-inch HD 720p touchscreen display, a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, HTC Sense 3.5 on top of Android 2.3.4, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Beats audio. A recent rumor suggested the phone will sell for $299.99 when purchased with a two-year contract, which is the regular price to pay for a high-end Android handset that sports real 4G capabilities.

Anyone interested in the Rezound?
