Grand Theft Auto V Announced, First Trailer Coming Next Week [Grand Theft Auto V Announced With Little Fanfare, Rockstar Promises A Trailer For Next Week]

We knew it was coming, but even though the day has finally arrived, we can’t say we’re any less surprised or excited to see it: Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto V today, but unlike the announcement you were probably expecting, Rockstar decided to be all sneaky about it.

Instead of sending out a press release littered with screenshots and perhaps including a trailer, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto V by sticking its logo up on their website. Admittedly, it’s a pretty massive logo, but I was expecting more fireworks along with the announcement of Grand Theft Auto V.

Nevertheless, Grand Theft Auto V is on the way, but that’s really all the information we have to tell you at the moment. Rockstar says that the first trailer will be available next week – on November 2nd to be specific – but other than that, we know literally nothing about Grand Theft Auto V.

I know there’s going to be hordes of people excited by just the announcement alone, and that those same people will probably eat up every piece of Grand Theft Auto V media that Rockstar releases between now and GTA V‘s release date, but I find myself feeling a little indifferent towards this announcement. What can I say? The Grand Theft Auto series has never really grabbed me in the way it’s grabbed legions of people around the world. If this was the announcement of another Red Dead game, though, make no mistake – I’d be jumping around my living room like I imagine many of you are right now.

Regardless of my personal feelings for the Grand Theft Auto series, you can be sure that we’ll have the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V right here at TFTS when Rockstar releases it next week.
