Samsung Transform Ultra Announced For Sprint [Sprint Announces The Samsung Transform Ultra Smartphone, Will Bring Android 2.3 Gingerbread, A 3.5" Display & Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard For An "Affordable" Price]
Boost Mobile announced the Samsung Transform Ultra smartphone back in mid-September and well, it looks like the handset will also be coming to Sprint. But that being said, while Sprint has offered up some details in terms of the specs and some teasers in terms of the pricing — we are left wondering when the handset will be available for sale.

Anyway, we suspect this one will be available sooner rather than later. Of course, there is not much to that aside from some speculation. As for the pricing, the teaser came as that the Transform Ultra would be “affordable.” But then again, we are not all that certain they would describe it as anything else.
In terms of the specs, the Transform Ultra will be compatible with the Sprint 3G network and come running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with support for the Sprint ID customizable user interface packs.
“Sprint ID, a user-friendly means of customizing Android content on mobile phones. Allows users to instantly download ID packs that deliver a predefined experience, including applications, widgets, ringtones and wallpapers, all at once.”
Other goodies include a 3.5 inch (480 x 320) HVGA touchscreen display, slide-out 4-row QWERTY keyboard, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, a microSD card slot, 1500 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS. In addition, the Transform Ultra will have a VGA quality front facing camera, a 3 megapixel rear facing camera, and weigh in at 4.9 ounces with measurements of 4.57 x 2.40 x 0.55 inches.
As one would expect with an Android device on the Sprint network, the Transform Ultra wil be a Google powered phone which means Gmail and Google Maps as well as the Android Market and more. And lastly, just to make the comparison between Sprint and Boost — Boost Mobile has the handset priced at a contract-free $229.99. Given that, we suspect this will be available for less than $100 on a two-year agreement once Sprint has it available for sale.
