Rogers Rumored To Be Releasing The Motorola RAZR In Early-November

Motorola officially announced the RAZR smartphone a short while back, which was quickly followed with confirmation of release from Rogers. And while the good news was there for Rogers customers, there were the usual details left missing. You probably guessed it, the price and the release date.

Though, to be fair, Rogers did make it known that the Motorola RAZR was going to arrive “in time for the holidays.” Not to mention, the followed up shortly after with official confirmation in terms of the pricing. And for those who may have missed that little bit, the pricing is going to be $149.99 on a three-year agreement.

Furthermore, the handset is available for pre-order as of today and gives a few options in terms of calling and data plans for those who make the purchase. The plans include an option to get 500 minutes and 1GB of data for $72.35 per month, 300 minutes and 500MB of data for $62.35 per month and 200 minutes and 500MB of data for $52.35 per month.

Anyway, with those confirmed details out of the way, lets get into the latest chapter, which is still nothing more than rumor based on the word of a tipster of the MobileSyrup blog. According to the chatter from them, Rogers should be launching the RAZR sometime in early-November. Or more specifically, it could be available for sale in the first week of the month.

And coming to back that little bit up, or at least to add a bit more in terms of credibility to that, the handset has recently made an appearance in the Rogers inventory system, which suggests that the tipster may be right on the money.

Lastly, just to offer a quick recap on the specs, the Motorola RAZR will feature a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Advanced qHD display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 8 megapixel rear facing camera and running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. In addition, the handset will arrive with a 7.1mm profile, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and a Kevlar back coating.
