O2 Galaxy Nexus to Launch Sometime in November [O2 Lists Samsung Galaxy Ice Cream Sandwich Smartphone, Doesn’t Mention Prices or Release Date]
The latest Google Nexus smartphone was announced last week during a joint Samsung-Google media event. Verizon will launch the phone in the USA soon as the Galaxy Nexus, although other mobile operators, including Sprint, may also carry it later this year.

Samsung didn’t offer and specific release dates during the press event and only mentioned that the phone will hit various international markets in November. Today we hear that UK Android fans will be able to get their Galaxy Nexus fix from O2, but the carrier failed to reveal actual pricing and release dates.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been listed as “coming soon: November” on O2’s website but the carrier doesn’t offer a sign-up page or pre-orders options for the ICS handset at this time.

The Galaxy Nexus is, obviously, the main iPhone 4S rival, but the handset will have face some tough competition from other Android handsets in worldwide markets, like the Motorola Droid RAZR, which was also launched last week. Not to mention that most carriers are getting ready to launch a new generation of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango devices, including upcoming models from Nokia, which should be unveiled in the following days.
