HTC Releases Another Ice Cream Sandwich Statement, Still Doesn’t Name Specific Names [HTC Hopes To Bring Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich To "As Many HTC Devices As Possible"]
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was announced just a short while back and naturally, the big question has become which of the currently available devices will be updated. And so far, it does not look like any of the manufacturers are naming specific names just yet.

But that being said, that does not seem to be stopping HTC from releasing statements. The first Ice Cream Sandwich related statement came from HTC a short while back and made mention that they wanted to update as many of their “recent devices as possible.” Of course, that statement closed by saying that we were to “stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans.”
And well, one would have thought that a second statement may have included something a bit more specific. Well, thing again, we have a second statement, however we also have another rather generic sounding statement. Anyway, without further adieu, here is the latest from HTC regarding Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Since Google unveiled Ice Cream Sandwich earlier this week, HTC has been looking closely at the new OS’s features and functionality to determine our upgrade plans.
We’re a recognised industry leader in providing fast and consistent upgrades to our Android devices, and Ice Cream Sandwich will be no different.
Upgrades require a careful balance of hardware and software to ensure the best possible performance and usability, so please stay tuned as we assess our product portfolio.
Our goal is to upgrade as many HTC devices as possible and we’ll be sharing details on specific devices and timing in the coming weeks!
Bottom line here, reading a bit into what we have and one could think that if the device is capable of running Ice Cream Sandwich then it will get updated. But alas, we are not all that certain this is about whether or not devices can run Android 4.0 — but more to the tune of WHEN they will run Android 4.0. Either way, at least HTC seems to have gotten started on their plans.
