HTC EVO Design 4G & Motorola Admiral Smartphones Now Available With Sprint
Sprint has been on a little bit of a kick lately with new Android smartphones. Earlier this morning we saw them announce the Samsung Transform Ultra which we expect to arrive shortly with an “affordable” price tag. And last week they unveiled the Motorola Admiral and the HTC EVO Design 4G — both of which are now available for purchase.

And perhaps a bit nicer, both handsets come with a rather affordable price tag. Though, that being said, we are not all that certain both of these will appeal to everyone. And by that we are referring to the Motorola Admiral which comes as a Direct Connect capable device.
Other specs of the Admiral include a 3.1 inch touchscreen display, hardware QWERTY keyboard, 1.2GHz processor, 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 5 megapixel rear facing camera and running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. In addition, the Admiral is a rugged handset with a Corning Gorilla Glass display that is scratch-resistant and Military Standard 810G certification against dust, shock, vibration, solar radiation, low pressure and high and low temperatures.

The HTC EVO Design 4G will bring a 4 inch qHD touchscreen display, 1.2GHz processor, 4G/3G, an 8GB microSD card, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera and will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread along with HTC’s Sense user interface.
As for additional goodies, both handset will bring the usual smartphone features such as microSD card slots, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Android Market access.
In terms of pricing, both are $99.99. Though worth noting, that price comes after a $50 mail-in rebate and along with a two-year agreement. In other words, make sure you have $149.99 (plus tax) to shell out on the day of purchase.
Bottom line here, those looking for a new handset with Sprint now have a few more available options. And nicely done, one of those is push-to-talk compatible.
