Apple iPhone 4S Pre-Orders Now Live In 22 Additional Countries

Apple released the iPhone 4S in seven countries on October 14th and at that time they also made it clear that an additional 22 countries would be getting the handset on October 28th. And well, it looks like those additional countries now have the iPhone 4S available for pre-order.

That being said, the original seven countries included Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and US. And now, for those additional countries, those include — Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Anyway, those who find themselves in one of those countries now have two options to consider. The first being to move forward with an online pre-order and the second being to hold tight and head to a retail outlet on October 28th and get your phone in person.

In terms of getting the phone quicker, at the present time some of the online pre-order pages are showing a 1-2 week shipping time which could mean that you will get your iPhone 4S on the October 28th launch date. But on the flip side, it also means that you could be waiting a full extra week. With that, while ordering online would certainly be the easiest way, we suspect that a few will be torn and will have a hard time deciding which way to go.

Bottom line here, despite maybe waiting a few extra days, we would suggest going with the pre-order since it guarantees a phone will be coming your way. After all, it would be less than ideal if you decided to go the in-store route on the 28th — to have them run out of stock before you get to the front of the line.

Otherwise, the iPhone 4S launch began with seven countries, is now opening to an additional 22 and will further come available to more than 70 countries before the end of the year.
