Nokia Sabre Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Smartphone Leaked Ahead of Launch
Nokia and Microsoft were unholy joined in Windows Phone 7 matrimony ahead of MWC 2011 and now, seven months later we’re almost near the announcement of the first Nokia Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphones.

Nokia is expected to take the stage at Nokia World next week and unveil not one but quite a few new WP7.5 distinct devices. Among those we’ll probably find the Ace, Sabre and Searay, which are device names we’ve seen in various recent leaks.

Today we’re looking at a leaked image of the Sabre, one of the phones we expect to see in stores in the near future. The first thing that will surprise you when looking at the image is the large bezel and the lack of physical buttons, which Microsoft requires for all the Windows Phone handsets. But don’t worry, the buttons are all there but they can’t be viewed in the image above because of the flash of the Nokia N9, the gadget used to take the picture.
This Sabre unit is probably a prototype as suggested by the warning found near the top of the device: “property of Nokia not for sale.” The handset is expected to sell for €300-350 in Europe, and that’s the SIM-free price, which means the Sabre may be even more affordable if purchased with a new contract.
When it comes to specs and features the Sabre will offer a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel camera and Windows Phone 7.5 Mango under the hood. That’s pretty much in line with what we’ve heard before so chances are these are the actual hardware characteristics of the device.
The Sabre is likely a mid-level Windows Phone 7.5 handset from Nokia with the Searay and Ace expected to offer higher-end features including bigger displays and better cameras.
