Watch Harrison Ford Play Uncharted 3 In These New Commercials

You know, there’s something to be said about seeing the older generations playing video games. There’s always been this stigma attached to video games that likes to claim that only children and virgin man-boys that can’t get a woman play video games, and seeing older folks (which is by no means an insult, mind you) play video games always serves as evidence that the stigmas just aren’t true.

Hell, when I was a kid, my dad always got on my case to stop playing video games all the time, only to be caught sneaking into my room after I had fallen asleep to play Sonic the Hedgehog on my Genesis or Shadows of the Empire on my N64. I remember the day that I got my N64, my dad stood there in awe as I played the opening level of Super Mario 64. He turned to my uncle, who was watching as well, and asked “Can you believe that?” That right there was validation of my hobby.

Maybe that’s why it’s so awesome to see Harrison Ford playing Uncharted 3 in the commercials below. Okay, so maybe he actually isn’t playing it in the commercials, and maybe he’s just acting when he sings the praises of the game (he is a really good actor after all), but it can’t hurt having someone as badass as Harrison Ford associated with a game like Uncharted 3 (which, interestingly enough, takes at least some of its inspiration from the classic Indiana Jones films).

Watch the first two as many times as you like, but be aware that the third video might contain some spoilers. You’ve been warned!
