HTC EVO Design 4G Officially Announced

It looks like Sprint will soon have another EVO branded Android smartphone available. The device is the HTC EVO Design 4G and it is set to arrive with Sprint in just a few days time.

More specifically, the EVO Design 4G will be available on October 23rd and it will arrive with a price tag that is sure to make some smile. According to the details coming from Sprint, the EVO Design 4G will be $99.99 which comes along with a two-year agreement and after a $50 mail-in rebate. In other words, make sure you have $149.99 on the day of purchase.

Otherwise, what we are looking at appears to be a nicely spec’d Android smartphone for a reasonable price. In terms of features, those kick off with the handset being a world phone and having a 4 inch qHD (960 x 540) display with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and HTC’s Sense user interface. And worry not, the EVO Design 4G will also have Android Market access.

Moving on and some of the other features include 4G/3G connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, 1520 mAh battery and a 1.2GHz processor. In addition, those who make the purchase can also expect to find an 8GB microSD card included along with a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and 5 megapixel rear facing camera with video recording.

The handset measures in at 4.8 x 2.4 x 0.47 inches, weighs in at 5.2 ounces and is sporting an aluminum unibody design that is said to give the EVO Design 4G “a slim, streamlined profile –guaranteed to get attention and nicely compact in your hand, pocket or bag.” And lastly, as one would expect with a Sprint branded device, the EVO Design 4G will arrive with 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability as well as support for a wide variety of Sprint services to include Sprint Zone, Sprint TV & Movies, Sprint Football Live, Nascar Sprint Cup Mobile and Sprint Navigation.
