Samsung Galaxy S II X Pricing Revealed For Telus

We have seen quite a bit of information in regards to the Telus branded Samsung Galaxy S II X come by way of leaks and tipsters, of which the handset is rumored to be coming available tomorrow October 19th. But in the meantime, while we wait for Telus to change the listing from coming soon to available for purchase, it looks like some last minute leaks dealing with the price have surfaced.

That being said, the price details are coming by way of tipster of the MobileSyrup blog. In short, the price is expected to be $99.99 on a three-year agreement. Of course, the catch with that — the leaked screenshot which lists that price also notes it as being a “promotional” price which suggests that the Galaxy S II X will launch at $99.99 and then go up after a set time.

In addition, we are still curious to see what the one-year, two-year and contract free pricing will come in at. And as to the speculation, some have suggested that the contract-free price will be close to the $600 mark. Needless to say, while we suspect that many in Canada dislike the three-year agreements, we also suspect that is how many will be purchasing the phone.

Otherwise, in terms of the features, the Samsung Galaxy S II X will bring goodies to include a 4.5 inch (800 x 480) Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, 4G, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS. In addition, the handset will also have a 2 megapixel front facing camera, an 8 megapixel rear facing camera with 4x digital zoom, LED flash and 1080p HD video recording and arrive running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface on top.

Bottom line, Telus has a rather nicely spec’d Android handset that should be available sooner rather than later. In other words, those considering a new phone with Telus may want to wait a day or so to see if this comes available at the $99.99 rumored price.
