Motorola Droid RAZR Unveiled Ahead of Release Date

Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Droid RAZR, also known as the Spyder or the Droid HD, has already been leaked days ahead of the official announcement. The company has scheduled a special media event for October 18 to unveil a new mobile device, most likely the RAZR according to a recent teaser video.


The company has prepared a new teaser project showing an image of the device about to be unveiled tomorrow. The image, available online right now, is covered by a puzzle of 16 images taken from the original video teaser. A partner site can remove a piece of the puzzle after using a special code, and so far just one section of the image has been uncovered with 15 pieces still left to go until the official announcement.

That eighth square reveals a corner of the device and its back Kevlar coating. If you ask me that looks very similar to the handset we’ve seen recently, and I’m pretty sure tomorrow’s event will be focused on the RAZR.

But what if I told you the teaser image is already available in full? It appears Motorola’s teaser is not that fun to follow anymore as the image has been leaked before the remaining 15 sites have had a chance to uncover their piece of the puzzle.

As you can see in the image above we’re looking at a 4G LTE Verizon Android handset that seems to coincide with the device spotted in the wild a few days ago. Again, we notice Verizon’s logo on the front and back of the device, that Kevlar coating, 4G LTE branding and an HD-capable camera on the back.
