iPhone 4S Stars In “Will It Blend” Video, Siri Protests

Tom Dickson Blends the New iPhone, Dedicates The Video to Steve Jobs

Tim Dickson and the “Will It Blend” gang have shattered plenty of things with their powerful blenders and we’re not surprised to see that the iPhone 4S has, in its turn, been turned into dust.

However this video is dedicated to the late Steve Jobs, and it’s certainly an interesting tribute considering that it consists in destroying the latest iPhone to have been announced while Apple’s co-founder was alive.

Of course, the iPhone 4S was torn apart by the blender, just like its predecessors, no surprise there. However, this time around Siri tried to protest and negotiate her way out of the predicament but the blender had other plans in mind. The video went viral on YouTube already, but we’re certainly recommending against destroying your iPhone 4S in such a manner. In fact, the device is somewhat fragile so you should consider avoiding unwanted drops that can result in permanent damage.

In case you haven’t been following the iPhone 4S announcement and launch that closely, you’ll have to know the device features the same design like the iPhone 4. That means we’re looking at a handset mostly made of glass, which even if pretty durable, it still can’t sustain that much damage.

Apple is aware its iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S are subject to unforeseen accidents so the company upgraded its AppleCare plan to AppleCare+. The new plan extends the warranty of your newly purchased iPhone to two years and covers up to two instances of accidental damage each subject to a $49 charge. AppleCare+ costs just $99 and it has to be purchased alongside with the new iPhone unit, or right after a new iPhone has been pre-order. However, if you go to a Genius with a bag filled with iPhone 4S remains following its blending experience you may find out your AppleCare+ plan may not do you that much justice.
