Telus Now Offering 6GB / $30 Per Month Data Plan

Those who happen to be in the market for a new data plan or a new calling, messaging and data combo plan and are either current customers of, or willing to become customers or Telus may want to listen up for a moment. It looks like Telus has recently launched two new promotional plans — one for calling, messaging and data and the other is a data only offering.

That being said, lets get this out of the way right up front — the promotion period for these plans will end on December 31st. In other words, if you want to sign up for either, make sure you do so before the end of the year. Of course, that still leaves plenty of time.

Anyway, in terms of the 6GB data only plan, this comes priced at $30 per month and includes the already mentioned 6GB of data which includes tethering. The only small catch here, this data can only be used while you are in Canada. And for those who find themselves on this plan and roaming in the US, except to pay $3.00 per MB. Otherwise, those who go over their limit will be subject to pay $0.05 per MB for anything over the 6GB limit.

Next up, the voice, messaging and data combo plan. This plan includes 200 local anytime minutes along with unlimited nationwide family calling. In addition, there is also unlimited local nights and weekend minutes, which begin at 6PM. Other features of this plan include unlimited text, picture and video messaging, unlimited nationwide talk with 10 of your favorite numbers and 6GB of data. The data in this plan is subject to the same limits listed with the data only plan above.

Bottom line, it looks like those who are picking up a new phone with Telus have a nice new option to consider. And this should be especially true for those who use more than the average amount of data.
