Galaxy Nexus Prime & Vigor Release Date & Pricing Confirmed by Leak
Samsung may be suffering in courts against Apple right now but the company is about to unveil new flagship device next week, the Galaxy Nexus Prime (either as the Galaxy Nexus or the Nexus Prime), with the device expected to hit Verizon in early November.

We have a new leak to analyze for you today that shows pricing details and a potential release date for the Galaxy Nexus, but also of another interesting Android handset expected to hit Verizon soon, the HTC Vigor, now known as the HTC Rezound.

The spreadsheet above shows MAP or minimum advertised prices for a bunch of other Android devices including Samsung and Motorola tablets, and Motorola and HTC smartphones but we’re mainly interested in the upcoming Verizon arrivals, the Galaxy Nexus and the Rezound.
Both the Galaxy Nexus and the Rezound are going to be priced at $299.99 on launch date, when purchased with new two-year contracts. The MAP period for both smartphones begins on November 10, 2011 and ends on May 10, 2012, which suggests that Verizon may launch at least one of them, if not both, on November 10.
The Rezound was recently rumored to be launched in late October while the Galaxy Nexus was said to be released on November 3. That may not be the case since these dates would not be covered by that MAP period.
The Galaxy Nexus, alongside Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, will be announced at a joint Samsung – Google event on October 19 in Hong Kong. But we have no announcement date for the Rezound yet. HTC has announced plenty of devices lately and it will be interesting to see whether the Rezound will also get its own special media event.
But while both handsets are expected to be 4G LTE Android smartphones, the Galaxy Nexus will run the latest Android OS version while the Rezound will come with “just” Gingerbread on board – of course that’s not a bad thing considering that the Thunderbolt has been waiting for months for some Gingerbread attention.
What will you choose between the HTC Rezound and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus?

I will go with the Galaxy Nexus because it has a bigger screen, ICS, no bloatware and no Sense. Plus I’m concerned about HTC’s security vulnerability. If the Galaxy Nexus doesn’t work out, then I will have to make a decision between the Rezound and the Droid Razr. Nice to have these choices.
I wonder how accurate the leak is, notice there is nothing regarding the Motorola Spider/Razr. I have stated on several blows that I will only wait until October 27 for Samsung to release either the Prime or Galaxy Note. After that they lose my business, not just on this cell phone, but on all of their product lines in perpetuity. My frustration regarding Samsungs repeated product release delays in the US is so bad that I may choose the Razr over the Prime if they are released at the same time and both have ICS.
I am wondering will any of these phones be a world phone? The first LTE World phone I will got with.
The razr will not have ics, when was the last time a nexus device released and another android phone releasing at virtually the same time had the same os. The Droid Razr will get ics sometime next year probably early summer.
Nov 10th is a long time
Do you remember the moto droid? Oh yeah thats right probably dont. Hmmm lets just say that it launched the whole entire android OS hype and what not. Honestly take a second and think about it. Would android OS be where it is right now without all that hype over the motorola DROID first appearing on verizon wireless? By the way 2.0 was first released on that phone and then on a nexus phone.
Too long.
should i wait for the htc vigor (rezound) or go ahead and get the iphone4s?
Egads! What is a month wait? Get the right phone! You are probably going to keep it for two years. Better still, WAIT another two weeks. Both phones will be THOROUGHLY critiqued by this time. THEN go out and buy the right phone. This conversation sounds like one my 12-year old would have about buying a PS-3 game.
