Sonic 4: Episode 1 Gets A Price Cut, Now $10 Forever
Sonic Generations may nearly be upon us, but while we wait out these last few weeks, Sega would like to direct your attention to a Sonic game that has been brushed to the side lately. We’re talking Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, and even though people had their gripes about the game (people will always have gripes about Sonic games), it’s definitely worth checking out.

It’s especially worth checking out now that Sega has dropped the price on Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 permanently. It used to cost $15, but Sega has decided almost a year after to release to drop that price down to the sweet spot that is $10. Starting today you can nab it for a mere 800 MSP on Xbox Live, with the price drop set to go live on PSN next week.
If you’ve yet to check out Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, you might as well buy it now that the price has dropped. After all, it isn’t a bad little game by any means, and keep in mind that Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 will, in fact, be coming out eventually – Sega just has to get all of this business with Sonic Generations out of the way first.
This news about Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1‘s price drop actually has me in the mood to give it another playthrough, but unfortunately my Xbox 360 kicked the bucket a while back. Until I decide to buy another console, there’s no Sonic the Hedgehog: Episode 4 for me, but luckily Sega announced that there will be a PC version of Sonic Generations. That’s some news that I’m absolutely thrilled to hear.
What about you? Are you planning on picking up Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 now that Sega has announced the price drop, or is the price still not low enough to get you to bite? Take to the comments section to share your thoughts about Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1!
