Best Buy Lowers The 16GB HTC Flyer To $99.99, Quickly Sells Out
Just last week we say Best Buy come forward with an official announcement in terms of the HTC Flyer. And for those who may have missed that bit, they lowered the price of the 16GB model by $200 as of October 1st bringing the price down to a more than tempting $299.99. Needless to say, it looks like the Flyer has since received another much more compelling price cut.

Yup, Best Buy has once again lowered the price of the HTC Flyer, cutting another $200 off the purchase price. In short, the 16GB HTC Flyer was priced at that magical sounding $99.99. That being said, the tablet did what one would have expected — it quickly sold out.
In fact, a quick visit over to the Best Buy website shows a product listing for the Flyer with a “sold out online” button instead of a button that would allow you to make a purchase. Furthermore, the device is simply listed as being “sold out” with a mention to “check back later.”
Of course, we are not all that certain as to whether the Flyer will return to the $299.99 price point or stay at the $99.99 price point when it returns. In addition, we are looking for some clarification as to whether or not this $99.99 price point is valid in-store. Needless to say, we will try and keep an eye out for any sign of additional inventory throughout the day because it seems to go without saying that more than a few TFTS readers would probably like to make a purchase. And as for this guy, assuming the inventory returns, I will try and hold strong because the last thing I need in my home is a fifth tablet. With that, if any TFTS readers were lucky enough to score one of these before Best Buy ran out, make sure you let us know how the order process goes.

At the store in Greenville, SC Bestbuy refused to sell the Flyer for the advertised $99 price. Insisting that the price was $299. One more Bestbuy jerk around. Maybe this time I will learn my lesson and stay out of their stores.
All the best buy stores said the price was published in error. Maybe if you snagged one online quick enough they processed your order. However, the BestBuy in chattanooga was actually handing out flyers with the real price and they apologized for the misprint. The cut was just an error or maybe temp online only.
The people who did manage to get their order processed online were notified that their orders were being cancelled and that the money wouldn’t be back in their accounts for 3-5 business days. Thank you for shopping Best Buy!
