See Robin In Action In This New Batman: Arkham City Trailer

New Batman: Arkham City Trailer Gives Us A Look At Robin's Gameplay

We’ve known for quite some time now that Robin is being offered as a pre-order bonus for Batman: Arkham City, but we haven’t seen to much of him in action. That’s all about to change, because in a new ad for Batman: Arkham City, we get to see Robin put legions of thugs in their place.

I have to say, even though I’ve always thought Robin was lame as a sidekick and even more lame as a crime-fighter, he looks pretty badass in this particular trailer. His move set looks very similar to Batman’s, but we also see him put that staff he’s been pictured with in the past to good use.

Personally, I could have done without the dorky looking hood, but hey, it’s better than the tight green briefs he used to sport after his introduction in 1940. All in all, I’d say that Rocksteady has succeeded in taking a character that was once the butt of many comic-related jokes and turning him into a cool character once again.

We’re closing in on Batman: Arkham City‘s release date, and while most people might be looking forward to Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, I’m ecstatic for Arkham City (and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, of course). I played Arkham Asylum to death and loved every minute of it, and with Rocksteady talking up all of new bad guys and areas to explore, I’m basically like a child waiting for Christmas at this point.

Unfortunately, the PC version of Arkham City was recently delayed, so I’m going to have to wait a little longer than my Xbox 360 and PS3-playing friends. That’s okay though – it’s a small price to pay in order to play what’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting games of the year.

Are you looking forward to Batman: Arkham City as much as I am? Give the trailer below a watch and then head down to the comments section to share your thoughts on Batman: Arkham City!
