iPhone 4 Gets Huge Incentive To Sell At eBay

There are a lot of you out there with iPhone 4 models. And probably plenty of you are looking to get your hands on the iPhone 4S now that it’s finally coming available. But if you’re still wondering what to do with your iPhone 4 now that you’re planning to get the big new model, well, the folks at eBay want to help. Remember how yesterday we talked about the sheer number of iPhone 4 models landing at Gazelle? Well, eBay might have a better offer in mind.

Right now, and for the rest of today (prices change on a daily basis, or so the reports go), eBay’s looking to fork over fully $357 to anyone selling an iPhone 4 via eBay’s Instant Sale program. Of course, you’ll need to be selling the charger too, and the phone will have to be in “excellent” condition (as in, it looks like it just came out of the box), which is likely not going to be an easy feat given that you’ve probably been carrying it around with you since you got it.

Of course, what that means for folks with iPhone 4 models in excellent condition is that you could be walking away not only with a new iPhone 4S, but also with some cash to pay the first round or two of bills. Since the 16 gig iPhone 4S is set to sell at $199, and an excellent quality iPhone 4 nets you $357 on eBay (under the right conditions, of course), you could be looking at coming out $158 to the good.

This actually represents a price increase in the hours following the announcement of the iPhone 4S, and if you want to get in on this you’ll have to hurry, though you won’t have to get the device in the mail. You’ll have until the end of the day today, at last report, to lock in your price, but then another seven days on top of it to send the device on. And those with other devices won’t find themselves in the cold, as evidenced above.
