Let's Talk iPhone: iPhone 4S Shows What It Can Do With Infinity Blade 2 Demo

Infinity Blade 2 Demoed On iPhone 4S, Epic Games Gives Us A Release Date

When Infinity Blade was released last year on the iPhone, it was met with many “ooohs,” and “ahhhhs,” from gamers around the world. Up until then, people were hesitant to take mobile gaming seriously, but with Infinity Blade, Epic showed the world just what the iPhone is capable of achieving with with the Unreal Engine.

So, is it any surprise that Apple brought Epic President Mike Capps up on stage to show off what the iPhone 4S is capable of? Hardly. Apple wants to show off what the iPhone 4S can do with it’s new A5 processor, and Epic was up to the task, announcing Infinity Blade 2 and showing us some video of the game in action.

While Infinity Blade 2 certainly looked beautiful, it wasn’t quite as breathtaking as the first time we saw the original Infinity Blade. The epic battles are still there, the beautiful graphics are still there, and really, Epic’s little demo went off without a hitch. Mike Capps reassured the press that nothing we saw in the video was pre-rendered, but then, would we expect any pre-rendered visuals if they were trying to demo the tech behind the iPhone 4S?

Unfortunately, details on Infinity Blade 2 were slim. We do know, however, that Infinity Blade 2 will be releasing on December 1st, so fans of the first one won’t have to wait too long for its sequel. Keep it tuned here to TFTS for more news and announcements from Apple’s Let’s Talk iPhone Event!
