Watch The Black Eyed Peas on Google+ Hangouts

will.i.am of The Black Eyed Peas To Host A Backstage Hangouts Stream on September 30, 6PM EST

Black Eyed Peas fan? Then you might know they’re having a concert in New York later tonight. Not from New York? Don’t worry! You don’t have to be totally out of the loop with what’s going on during their concert. In fact, you can join the Black Eyes Peas backstage so you can get a glimpse of what’s going on behind the curtains. You don’t even have to pay for transpo – it’ll all happen live on Google+ Hangouts on Air.

Wii.i.am hosted a Hangout On Air stream last week – the very first one, in fact, that it sort of served as an experiment for Google+. During the stream, the Google+ folks discovered instances of what could go wrong during a stream, like a participant forgetting to mute their own mics and the like. This time, the stream brings us straight into BEP’s concert’s backstage action in New York.

If you want to be part of the stream and be able to participate, you have to be one of the first 9 people to join. After the first 9 participants, you can still access the stream, but only as a watcher on YouTube. If you’d like to hang out with the BEP on Hangouts, be on will.i.am’s Google+ profile on or before 6PM EST tonight (September 30), and click the video he will post. Enjoy!
