Serious Sam 3: BFE Gets Hit With A Delay [Serious Sam 3: BFE Release Date Pushed Back To November, Fork Parker Issues Another Hilarious Statement]

It was just last month that Croteam rather enthusiastically announced an October 18th release date for Serious Sam 3: BFE. There’s a lot of people looking forward to the third installment in the Serious Sam franchise, but unfortunately, it looks like they’re going to have to wait a little bit longer.

That’s because Serious Sam 3: BFE has been hit with a delay just a few weeks before its expected release. Even though Croteam says that the game “looks great,” and is “playing wonderfully,” they’ve decided that they need more time to go through and balance the difficultly. They also want to make sure they squash any technical issues so that they can have as close to a bug-free launch as possible. To do this, Croteam says they need another month to finish the project.

Of course, just because they were delivering bad news doesn’t mean that they had to be downers about it, and would it really be a Croteam press release without some wacky comments from Digital Devolver CFO Fork Parker? I think not. Here’s what Parker had to say about the delay:

Looks like the wife is going to have to wait on pumping up the milk pillows until I’m rolling in that filthy Serious Sam 3: BFE cash money. Nobody likes a half-assed titjob. Nobody.

Even though gamers are going to have to wait a month for Serious Sam 3: BFE and Fork Parker is going to have to wait a month for his wife’s uh… procedure, it isn’t all bad news as Crotem says that they’ll probably be throwing some more enemies in the game. More enemies are always welcome in first-person shooters, right?

Plus, I think I’d rather see the game delayed and the bugs fixed before launch instead of having a game delivered broken and unplayable. Serious Sam 3: BFE‘s new release date is November 22nd, and in case you haven’t pre-ordered it yet, that pretty attractive pre-order deal is still available from Steam.
