Verizon Galaxy Nexus / Prime Coming Without Bloatware? [App List for Upcoming Samsung Nexus Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich Smartphone Has Been Leaked Suggesting Crapware Is Absent]
Verizon Android handsets usually come preloaded with a lot of junk apps that you may never use. In fact all mobile operators customize their Android handsets by adding their apps in order to offer consumers a better smartphone experience, to paraphrase one such carrier.

Therefore is only natural to wonder how the next Nexus phone, the one Samsung is expected to announce at a joint press event with Google at CTIA on October 11, is going to deal with crapware. Will Verizon have its own apps installed on the device? According to MyDroidWorld that won’t happen.
In fact there’s a full list of apps that will be available on the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime from the moment you take it out of the box, and they don’t seem to include any Verizon-made apps:

Naturally, there’s no way to confirm the list yet, and we’ll just have to wait for Google and Samsung to announce the handset, although it’s only on launch date that we’ll actually see the device in the wild, including its originally preloaded apps.
Since the Galaxy Nexus / Nexus Prime is going to be a Google phone, we expect it to offer a vanilla Android smartphone experience, just like its predecessors did. That means no customized user interfaces built on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and no carrier crapware.
Are you buying the new Samsung Nexus phone this winter, or will you purchase a different smartphone instead, you know, the one that has a fruity logo on the back?
