Skype for iPad & iPhone Now Supports Bluetooth, Image Stabilization, & Ads
Skype rolled out a few updates for its iPhone and iPad app, a couple of which are good, while another one is sure to raise a few eyebrows. If you’ve always been annoyed that the Skype iOS app doesn’t support Bluetooth headsets, then you’ll be happy to know that it now does!

The Skype for iPhone app now supports Bluetooth for the iPhone 4, 3GS, and the iPod Touch. The Skype for iPad app, however, now supports Bluetooth for the iPad 2. Besides the addition of Bluetooth support, the app now also has an anti-shake correct for image stability. This function reduces movement when you’re moving while doing a video chat.
While both new updates would surely please everyone, the third update wouldn’t be as well-received – Skype for iPhone and iPad now has ads, like how it has ads on the Mac version. Still, the app is free unless you’re using services that need credits, so I guess we’ll just have to get used to the ads (which aren’t really so bad).
