Disney Announces Two New Android Smartphones

The House of Mouse Welcomes Two Smartphones To Its Line-up

Disney has numerous businesses in the West from theme parts to movies to TV. But in Japan, it puts on another hat – the hat of a phone (and maybe even tablet) maker. Disney recently revealed a couple of new smartphone models adding to its current list of devices: the and DM011SH.

With designs and colors (pink and white!) that can melt a tween’s heart, the devices both run on a Qualcomm 1GHz CPU with an Android 2.3 operating system. The DM010SH has a 4-inch 3D capable 950 x 540 qHD screen, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an 8 MP camera. The DM011SH, on the other hand is a slider phone with a 3.4-inch LCD FWVGA screen, 8MP shooter with LED flash, and could actually be considered a rugged phone – it’s waterproof and dustproof, perhaps for the younger demographic who might not be as careful with devices.

Aside from these two phones, there might also be a Disney 8-inch tablet released, but this part is speculation. Unfortunately, these Disney devices are only available in Japan, and will most likely not be sold in the United States.
