Wacom Announces Three New Bamboo Tablets
Wacom announced three new pen tablets the beginner artist, graphic designer, or dabbler can afford. The Wacom Bamboo Connect, Create, Capture, and Create go from the most basic to a bit more sophisticated suite of features. Most affordable among the three is Bamboo Connect worth $79.95, which Wacom describe as a tablet for “digital inking, doodling, and white-boarding.” It has a digital eraser that could correct mistakes. It measures 5.8 x 3.6 inches, and is available in black and lime.

The Bamboo Capture comes next at $99.95 that’s designed for “photo enthusiasts or novice designers” that comes with multiple inking tools and colors. Measuring 5.8 x 3.6 incshes, it comes in black and silver.

Finally, there’s the Bamboo Create worth $199.95 measuring 8.5 x 5.4 inches, double the size of Bamboo Capture and Connect for more work space. Wacom markets it as a tablet “ideal for home arts and crafts project, photo editing as well as scrapbooking.”

All the tablets work with both Windows and Mac OS platforms. Of course, Bamboo tablets are mostly entry-level devices for hobbyists. If you want something more advanced, it’s best to save up for an Intuos or better yet, a Cintiq.
