iPhone 5 Announcement Event Confirmed by Apple for October 4 [Apple Issues Invites for Official "Let's Talk iPhone" Keynote, iPhone 4S & iPhone 5 to be Unveiled?]
Well, folks, it turns out the latest report suggesting that Apple will hold its iPhone-centric fall media event on October 4 was true after all. The company issued press invites for a “Let’s Talk iPhone” event that confirm the announcement date (image available below).

As tipped before, the event will take place on Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California and it will start at 10 AM PST next Tuesday. What’s pretty interesting is that Apple confirmed that it will talk iPhone during the event. Does that mean no other announcements will be made during the keynote?
Recent rumors suggested that Apple’s upcoming line of iPods will also be unveiled at Apple’s fall media event. However, Apple has announced new iPod families during a September press event in the past, and considering the variety of iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 reports floating around, the company may have plenty of iPhone-only announcements to make next Tuesday which wouldn’t leave much time for discussing any other new devices.

That missed call icon featured in the image above is also pretty interesting. Is there any hidden meaning in the fact that we’re looking at just one missed call there? Or does the icon tell us, at least subliminally, that there’s only going to be a single iPhone announced next week?
Recent reports can’t seem to agree whether Apple will announce one or two distinct iPhone models this year, but in a week from now everything will be explained. Fast-forward to October 14 and we may see the new iPhone simultaneously hit stores in five markets, U.S., Japan, UK, Germany and France.
Naturally we’ll be covering Tim Cook’s event closely for you, bringing you all the hot announcements Apple will make during the event, so keep following us via Facebook, Twitter and the feed for timely updates on all things iPhone-related.
