OnSale Offers HP TouchPad Status Update For Those With Previously Cancelled Orders

Bought An HP TouchPad Through OnSale (Amazon) Only To Have It Cancelled? You Now Have A Chance To Still Get One, A 32GB Model

If you purchased, more accurately, tried to purchase an HP TouchPad by way of OnSale you now have another opportunity to complete that purchase and actually get a tablet. Of course, the key word here being opportunity.

That being said, and before we dive in any further here — the retailer is OnSale, however some may want to check their order history with Amazon because OnSale was selling through Amazon. In other words, if you tried to buy a TouchPad during the great $99/$149 fire sale and did so through Amazon — you may have another shot. The details are coming by way of the onSale Facebook page and read as follows;

OnSale has worked closely with Hewlett Packard to acquire additional units of the HP TouchPad which sold out when HP recently announced its major price reduction on these items.

We will be receiving limited quantities of these products shortly.

Notice the “limited quantities” portion there. Anyway, we suspect the key here is to react quickly. That being the case, here is what you will need to do next.

HOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDER:
1. Go to http://store.onsale.com/n/msc-189
2. Provide your original Order ID and e-mail address. (You must have a valid original Order ID in order to place an order)
3. Go to your inbox and click on the link (Note: link can only be used once).
4. Provide your order details including address and payment method (No store credits, no international shipping)
5. Place your order

And of course, that is then followed up with some fine print including how “your order is not confirmed until you receive an order confirmation following Step 5.” Furthermore, this is said to be for those who placed their order on August 21st and the option to take advantage of this second-chance will be available through September 26th. Of course, we suggest taking advantage as soon as possible.

One catch here is that the offer is for a 32GB TouchPad (at $149.99) which may or may not work for those who were hoping for the 16GB model. Otherwise, OnSale notes that they “expect orders under this offer to be shipped to you within 2 weeks of your placing the new order.”

Me personally, I did place an order on August 21st and fall into the eligible category. I went through the process and did receive my “OnSale Order Confirmation” however I am not going to be excited until the delivery truck pulls up in front of my house. But with that, we do have to commend OnSale for trying to make good.
