Windows Phone Program Manager Leaves Microsoft Due To Unauthorized Tweets

WP's Joe Marini Booted Out Of Company For Breaking NDA

More than a week ago, Windows Phone principal program manager Joe Marini took to Twitter to profess his love for the new Nokia Windows Phone. Marini sounded nothing short of ecstatic, and called the phone one of the “slickest” looking Nokia phones he’d ever seen. You’d think a statement like that would get you in the bosses’ good graces, but it doesn’t seem to be the case – Marini is reportedly leaving Microsoft, and it has everything to do with his Tweets.

The Microsoft spokesperson who confirmed Marini’s departure refused to provide more details. But it’s been learned that Marini left of his own accord after hearing that he’ll be let go for breaking a non-disclosure agreement. Seems like Nokia’s really making good on its plan to implement a strict secrecy code a la Apple. We can’t help but feel bad for an overenthusiastic employee, but if he really did sign an NDA, then it can’t be helped.
