Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Update Rolling Out in Next Two Weeks?
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is Microsoft’s upcoming major mobile OS update and those of you currently in possession of any of the WP7 handset launched so far will soon be able to upgrade your device to Mango.

For months now users have waited for Microsoft to roll out Mango and according to an article posted today on the company’s Windows Phone blog, the update is getting near.
Existing Windows Phone 7 handsets will be upgraded to Mango at some point in the following two weeks although the company isn’t offering a specific launch date yet:
For months, we and dozens of our partner companies have been laying the groundwork for the Windows Phone 7.5 update—and making solid progress. As a result, we now expect to start rolling it out in the next week or two. At that time, we’ll also refresh the Where’s My Phone Update? table to reflect the worldwide rollout status.
Besides the actual Mango update, each phone is going to get a secondary update from the handset manufacturer, and therefore Microsoft is advising against installing “bootleg updates and homebrew tools.”
In order to install Mango on your current WP7 you will also need to install a proper Microsoft computer application, either the Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac or Zune software for PCs.
Coincidentally, it’s not just WP7 handsets that are going to get a new software version. In the near future Apple will release iOS 5, its latest mobile OS version, that will be compatible with various existing iDevices including the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 3G and iPod touch 4G as well as future one like the iPhone 4S/5 and the iPod touch 5G. In turn, Google is set to launch Android Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of the October, with the first ICS handset to start selling right after that.
