HTC Ruby aka Amaze 4G Appears in Leaked Press Images

We saw quite a few new HTC handsets lately and the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has even more models in the works, with the Ruby, also known as the Amaze 4G being one of them.

Details of the phone have been leaked before but today we have the first press image for the unannounced device. The Ruby/Amaze 4G is expected to hit T-Mobile in the future although launch dates and pricing details are not yet official. The handset is however rumored to hit U.S. stores on October 26, while Telus is being mentioned as the exclusive Canadian mobile operator to carry the phone.

The Ruby/Amaze 4G is expected to sport a 4.3-inch qHD display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera with HD video recording, NFC support, Android Gingerbread and support for T-Mobile’s 4G (read: HSPA+) network.

The device may also see an international launch, as the Amaze, but I guess we’ll find out more about such launch plans in early October when HTC will hold another smartphone-based media event.

Earlier this week HTC had one more such press event in New York City, but the company only announced a single phone, the HTC Rhyme, previously known as the Bliss. Today the company announced the HTC Raider 4G, an Android handset set to hit South Korean stores, and believed to be the previously rumored HTC Holiday, which could hit AT&T with LTE powers turned on at some point in the very near future.

HTC’s smartphone push is certainly impressive and one definitely has to wonder whether the company is trying in any way to drown the iPhone 5 buzz, although I don’t think that’s really possible right now. Nonetheless there are two more HTC handsets waiting to be launched besides the ones we already talked about, the HTC Vigor and the HTC Runnymede also known as the Bass.
