HTC Sensation XE Smartphone Announced, Will Feature Beats Audio

HTC Officially Unveils The Sensation XE, Will Arrive Sporting A 4.3" Display, Dual-Core 1.5GHz Processor, Gingerbread & Beats Audio

HTC has unveiled another Android running handset, the Sensation XE, which is noted as being the first smartphone to be announced with Beats Audio. That being said, while the handset has been officially announced, there are still some missing details in terms of release dates and prices.

So far HTC has not announced anything in terms of a price. Furthermore, the release was noted as coming to Europe and Asia beginning in late-September. And while we still want to find out those few bits, we suppose now that HTC has made this announcement, we are going to start seeing carrier release plans sooner rather than later.

Moving past that and into the specs, since the big focus here is on the inclusion of Beats Audio — lets kick things off with that. Based on what HTC is saying, this will arrive as the “ultimate audio experience.” Breaking that down a little bit and we learn that the Sensation XE will be a handset with Beats Audio and ship with exclusive Beats by Dr. Dre in-ear headphones and an 8GB or 16GB microSD memory card.

The in-ear headphones will come with an in-line remote that will allow you to play/pause or skip your tracks as well as answer and end a call. The handset will also automatically switch to a Beats by Dr. Dre sound profile when the headset it plugged in and is described as being able to allow you to “hear music the way the artist intended” and have “fuller bass and crisper vocals and a new level of clarity and range offering audio.”

Otherwise, the Sensation XE will have a 4.3 inch qHD touchscreen display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB internal storage (with up to 1GB available for the user), a microSD card slot, VGA quality front facing camera, 8 megapixel rear facing camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 1730 mAh battery and running Android with HTC’s Sense user interface.
