Wajam Adds Your Friends' Opinions & Locations To Search Results

Social Search Service Wajam Integrates Your Social Circles Into Your Search Engine, Amazon, & Ebay Results

If you’ve ever seen Google Social Search, you’ll have an idea of what Wajam is. Wajam is a browser extension that integrates search results from your social circles (such as Facebook and Twitter) into Google, Bing, or Yahoo. It shows not only public posts but also private, as long as you’re logged into you accounts.

Aside from showing social media results on search engines, it could also show results on some select websites like Amazon and Ebay. For example: if your friends commented about a certain product you want to buy from those sites on any of your social circles, you can see theose comments. The other websites Wajam works with are Tripadvisor, Yelp, Ask, and IMDB.

Just recently, Wajam launched its location data social search function. This new feature shows you location-related results from your friends’s activities. For example, whenever you search for a location, you can see which of your friends live there, and which Liked (on Facebook), Checked-in to (on foursquare), and posted photos of that location.
