iPhone 5 Icon in Photo Stream Suggests Potential Design Changes [Minuscule iPhone Image Suggests Larger Screen & Different Home Button; Or It’s Just a Concept Icon]
After the numerous rumored iPhone 5 parts we’ve seen in the past few days, we’re looking at a new leaked image today that could reveal more details about the future of the iPhone. This time around it’s an icon image found Apple’s latest Photo Stream beta.

Found by 9to5mac, this image is particularly interesting, as it doesn’t resemble any of the current iPhone designs. The display is bigger, and suggests the new phone will have an edge-to-edge screen, a feature spotted in previous iPhone rumors.

Some of those rumors also mentioned the iPhone’s Home button, now an iconic piece of hardware also found on all iPod touch and iPad models, which is expected to change starting with the fifth-generation iPhone. The word on the street is that the new iPhone will bring us a longer Home button which is meant to support certain gesture-based user interactions.

An earlier report suggested that the iPhone 5 will have a 3.7-inch edge-to-edge touchscreen display and an elongated Home button (see image below), which fits nicely with today’s find. The same rumors said the iPhone 5 will have a different design, although other rumors did say that Apple will hold on to the current iPhone 4 design and use it in its next-gen smartphone too.

At the same time the rumors and leaks floating around suggest that Apple could launch two new iPhone models, a cheap iPhone 4S, similar to the iPhone 4, and a new, redesigned smartphone, the iPhone 5.
Of course we could be looking at a concept icon in the Photo Stream beta, which could have nothing to do with the actual design of the upcoming fifth-generation iPhone. We’ll have to wait for the handset to be actually launched before being able to compare the icon with a picture of the actual phone.
In the mean time let us know what features you expect most from the upcoming iPhone models?
