Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch Outed Before Official Announcement
Samsung is expected to make official at least three of the upcoming U.S. Galaxy S II flavors today, but until we hear more about actual release dates and pricing for these devices we can definitely take a look at Sprint’s model, courtesy of the South Korean manufacturer.

Willingly or unwillingly the company has leaked the Sprint Galaxy S II version, dubbed as the Epic 4G Touch, via a “Samsung Mobile Product Training” page. The Galaxy S II has been in the wild for quite a while now, with Samsung selling over 5 million units well ahead coming to the USA. It’s still not clear whether Samsung intentionally delayed its U.S. launch of the Galaxy S II, or whether carriers are to blame.
What’s certain is that this phone is going to fight the iPhone 5, about to be launched in the following months, so we shouldn’t be surprised to see some important changes.

While Samsung doesn’t directly list all the specs and features of the phone, it does mention some of them including a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus Display, ultra-thin design, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4G network speeds (read WiMAX support) and an “Advanced Android Experience” whatever that is.
Apple decided to go for a bigger touchscreen display, probably similar to the one found on the Galaxy S II LTE, which was made official last Sunday, but it didn’t also bump the processor to 1.5GHz. What’s also pretty clear, and has been a known fact since leaked images of the U.S. Galaxy S II versions have hit the web recently is that the U.S. versions will lack the home button that’s found on international, “regular” phones. Instead we have four buttons characterstic to Android devices.

What the images above didn’t reveal yet are pricing details and a release date, so stick around for more information about the U.S. Galaxy S II models. What carrier will you rather buy the phone from in the USA? Answer in our poll here!
