Nintendo Reveals Entire List Of Free NES Games For 3DS Ambassadors

Zelda 2: The Adventure Of Link, Metroid Added To List Of NES Games 3DS Ambassadors Get For Free On September 1

Everyone knows by now that those who were loyal enough to buy a 3DS early on in its lifespan (or quick enough to grab a discounted 3DS before the “official” price drop) are in for some free games. Twenty free games, to be exact, with ten NES games and ten GBA games in all being offered to anyone who connected their 3DS to the eShop before the August 11th cut-off date.

There’s just one problem: Nintendo‘s been a little hush-hush on just what NES and GBA games 3DS owners are actually going to get. The GBA games are still a secret, but today Nintendo of America revealed the rest of the NES games on tap. Originally, we only knew that 3DS owners were getting Super Mario Bros., Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong Jr., and Balloon Fight, but today Metroid, Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, Wrecking Crew, Mario Open Golf, and Yoshi’s Egg were added to that list.

So, there’s certainly a lot to be excited about with Metroid and two Zelda games making the list. The best part? They’ll be available in just two days! There’s still no word on when the GBA games will become available, but Nintendo says that they’ll be in the hands of 3DS Ambassadors by the end of 2011.
